The Spoonbill Generator

Gilbert, With Giants in Hand

Have you met my wee friend, Gilbert? [Francine]

He's two foot high, and wears a tie [Nym]

His girlfriend, Sadie's, somewhat taller [Francine]

She's eight-foot-seven to the thigh [Kansas Sam]

They met while strolling through the zoo [Francine]

Her handbag hit his balding pate [Kansas Sam]

And knocked him almost dead [Nym]

They knew that it was fate [Francine]

She'd just seen the giant shrimp; [Kansas Sam]

He, the pigmy platypus [Nym]

Both came, though, for dwarf giraffes [Kansas Sam]

A coincidence most amorous [Francine]

Necking, though, they both could see [Kansas Sam]

That she was tall and he was wee [Francine]

He had to stand upon a stool [Nym]

Which added to his anomie [Francine]

But Gilbert's heart is Sadie's now [Nym]

(Though touching it can strain her back) [Anon.]

And Sadie means the world to him [Nym]

(Though he can never reach her rack) [Anon.]

I'm sure one day they hope to marry [Nym]

And somehow re-align their "things" [Francine]

For now I guess they'll have to cope [Nym]

With ladders and winches and slings [Kansas Sam]
