Seek the Shade, the Silence
In a garden of unrestful silence
Is an ancient man of stone
For a thousand years has he watched
Unremarked, alone
One day a dove alighted there
Upon his granite knee
The stony figure seemed to sigh
With one, came two, then three
By and by, there was a gathering
The doves amassed for war
And the symbols of peace did battle
A Manichean bore
Or so the ancient thought until
They commenced to defecate
Now he silently must endure
What symbols can create
