One Cat for Every Lear
How blithely do the flivvers fly
Through-out the trembling sky
Discombobulating eagles
And falling in my pie
How weirdly do the dervishes
Mingle with the purling fishes
Transmigrating anchovies
Never granting wishes
How slyly do the oysters creep
Across my plate. And then they leap
Opalescent dinnertime
Still barely free of sea-borne grime
How ruefully the gorgons sing
Surrounded by a stony ring
Such medusan strategies
Are limn'd in works of Chaterjee's
How glumly do the salmon flop
On sheets of silk - what is this shop?
Emporium Amphigory
This nonsense must now stop!
