An Elliptical Doppelganger
Me and my loneliness; we often talk
But only in the hush of crowded streets
It's there the both of I go for a walk
It there the both of I are wont to meets
In public, not between the sheets
Me and my loneliness; we never tell
The secrets the two of us keep to ourself
It's when the bustle, the noise and the smell
Gets between me and my double, my elf
I help others, he helps himself
