Limerick About a Trout
Let us now swim in Lake Erie
Then go back inside when we're weary
We'll wring out our hair
While straddling a chair
And then drink Coors till we're beery
Or perhaps we might swim in Lake Tahoe
Try driving around in a backhoe?
A golf cart, perhaps?
Stocked with champagne and schnapps?
And then we can weave to and fro
Lake Windermere has its attractions
It's water-air surface diffractions
Can make the view seem
Even better downstream
And naiads bring pleasant distractions
