Regional Railway Sensibilities
Mostly air, my lost parade
Effervesced in my lemonade
In gin and tonic shall I wade
Wallowing in the mess I've made.
I hope these memories someday fade
How to parse its rank allure?
Or call it "m'am" instead of "sir?"
And does it rhyme with "cur" or "cure"?
Please tell me as I am not sure
My fair elusive paramour
I smartly toed my parasol
And kicked it down a moonlit hall
Where dwelt a lemur (fairly small)
In fact, 'twas hardly there at all
And curled into a tiny ball
Thinking through the stratosphere
Makes me want to sip a beer
I feel my mind is barely here
My lingerie is very sheer
I've lost the whole parade, I fear.
