Secretly, in Aberdeen
A day in the life of...
Ms. Ida McIntyre, the onetime mistress of
Aberdeen Opera Co, Rosemount Viaduct, Aberdeen AB25 1GL
She was incapable of keeping a secret
I rose, as usual, at 8:30, having failed to keep a secret.
Par for the course. Why was I ever born?
That's one thing daddy never let on
Ho hum. I shall have buttered scones for tea
Time for my morning vocal exercises.
A, E, I, O, U, and sometimes Y. Mi mi mi mi mi. Y mi?
Spent an hour scraping off those pesty bunions
I wish they wouldn't confide in me in the first place.
There might be something diverting outside the window
Looks like another mutt is marking the hydrant
I, too, should leave a mark. Perhaps tomorrow
Maybe a bon-bon or six will help me decide
