Pirates And Self-Loathing
A pattern is emerging
I always fall in love with cruel guys!
The nice ones I should keep, I end up purging,
My mother told me this is most unwise
It's not that I'm naive
I've surely been around the block,
A couple of hundred times I do believe
Yet still I greet the sailors at the dock
A Bligh or Hook I seek
Though a Blackbeard would be thrilling
And Queequeg might be fun to have around
To help me with the finer arts of drilling
I know I should desire
The kind of man who would respect me
Not set my lingerie on fire
Or. with pick-axes, seek to prospect inly
