Just before the avalanche
I bought a hat
Set a course for Jericho
The mystic natives said
'Better Ararat.'
As I tumbled down the gorge
I failed to sigh
Or think of buying Jericho
To butter up my bread
With bits of apple-pie
Now, spreadeagled in the vale
I wink at you
Part-time Mayor of Jericho
With your enormous head
