The Spoonbill Generator

Womenfolk Taken Aback

When shifting the permanent way [Roland]

It's always the worker who'll pay [TG]

It's always his loss [Roland]

And, meanwhile, the boss [TG]

Can play the whole field and make hay [Roland]

When marching to protest the war [TG]

It's always the rebel and whore [Roland]

Who make the front pages [TG]

Despite the outrages [Roland]

Of editors hoping for more [TG]

When swiping a card through the slot [Roland]

It's always the worst time to trot [TG]

For galloping fear [Roland]

Will show from the rear [TG]

Though streaks that are winning will not [Roland]

When rhyming at quarter to ten [TG]

It's ticklish to use a quill pen [Roland]

For ink tends to smear [TG]

And spoil the veneer [Roland]

And you have to start over again [TG]
