To Strive For Dizzying Perfection
To get into the Hall of Fame
You have to die, or drop a name
Or pay the judge a bob or two
Or scratch his ears and tum-tum blue
Or craft a pearl of precious wit
Or plant some sand, and wait a bit
Or else be Bob De Niro
You could arise to top a sport
Or be the sort to right a tort
Or find the shortest jot of time
In which to make 'Confucius' rhyme
To benefit of all humankind
One could just read a dolphin's mind
So go and be a hero!
