Keatsian Devices
Grecian urns do not inspire these words
Which issue rather from profound despair
At witnessing the death of many birds
Which tumble lifeless through the freezing air
To thaw, betimes
'Neath tropic sun
And feed these rhymes
No mistress coy gives voice to lines like these
Nor like to her shall figure in their verse
Rather, the long-lost art of shelling peas
And showing them a-tumbling from the nurse
Shall stir the Muse
(To name but one)
To shout the news
