Horses Most Definitely
Spanish onions, in the dark,
Bring a tear to sleeping eyes;
Sleepers at the midnight mark
Recline on benches in the park
In palpable disguise
Splintered rainbows, overhead,
Fall, unseen to those around
Who, alas, are overbred

Before he ran aground
Spectral visions, in the night,
Grow from mushrooms picked one noon
Fungal alkaloids excite
Those brave enough to take a bite
While howling at the moon
