Tears Before Tonsils
Lethal injection, on the tide,
That ebbs as we endure
What lightermen have always claimed
Was quite unworthy to be named
And broke the law, beside
It added torment to our pain
Contemptible and pure
As sweet and silent as the night
Insatiable in appetite
And bitter as the rain
