A stream of white smoke confirmed that the joke
Was deemed to be [mostly] obscene
The cardinal sin of St Peter
Was curtailing the old right to roam
Whilst wearing a cloak all fashioned from brome
But it wasn't at all unexpected
And later, they sold off his car
In an auction bestowed on the moon
Whose late apogee, by papal decree
And papist myst;'ry, was not soon
The problem with Absolute Unction
Is finding the gasket to change
While blocking the Vatican junction
