Schengasm is a collection of 19 poems written in the months after the completion of The Rat Fathom.

Unlike The Rat Fathom, the order of the poems in Schengasm is not chronological and the poems were deliberately sequenced when it became apparent, on completion of The Elitist, that the cycle was complete.

The title Schengasm was chosen by the Gartestry method, and the cycle also has an informal sub-title The Cage of Old.

A complete reading of Schengasm was recorded, but this recording has been wiped.

Copyright in Schengsam as a whole is owned jointly by The Schengasm Authors. Copyright in the individual lines, words, and, in some cases, letters is owned by the individual authors.
